Meet Ken Tidd
"My biggest slice of luck as an artist was to be born and raised on the beautiful Norfolk coast although as a child the wide skies, salt marshes and long golden beaches were just a backdrop to care-free days spent with my pals roaming wherever the fancy took us, exploring jungle like reed-beds, catching flatfish in the creeks, swimming in the cold North Sea, gathering winkles and cockles, there was mud, sand and water and we had the great outdoors all to ourselves.
Later in life my love of art, drawing and painting opened my eyes to all that I'd taken for granted and I began to realise what treasures were all around waiting for brush, pigment and paper. That was forty or more years ago, my paintings have changed since my first dismal attempts but it's still a challenge, more often than not it's a struggle but never a chore.

A studio visit is always welcome, just come and see what paintings are there, always lots of new work to see, no pressure, best to ring, text or email beforehand and we could arrange a time.
We recently left the coast behind and now live in the little market town of Fakenham, a few miles inland, my paintbrushes came with me so that particular journey continues.
Exhibitions
2018 was the final year for my yearly exhibition, it's quite a big decision for me, I've lost count of the number of years I've held my exhibition there and it's been an absolute pleasure to make so many new friends alongside the people who've always supported and encouraged my artistic endeavours, it's really appreciated.
I'll still be painting, it's an important part of my life. I'll try and pay more attention to my website, giclee prints will be available, commissions, enquiries and studio visits are always welcome.
I might decide on a future exhibition somewhere in the future, details will be posted here.
